The I-50 Voltammeter, a Volt-Ampere-meter from the U.S. Army
The instrument originally dates from around 1930 and has two DC measuring ranges, namely 0-3, 0-15, 0-150 Volts and 0-3, 0-15 and 0-30 Amperes.

The meter belongs to the test set IE-29 and this set was used for Telephone and Telegraph testing.
The instrument described below was made by the firm Westinghouse and was used during the second world war by the Allies.
The instrument is stored in a leather bag.
The text indicates that this is indeed an I-50 Voltammeter.

And this is the instrument. At the bottom left you can seea button. This button must be pressed in order to measure voltages.

At the terminals the measuring ranges can be read.
